REVIEW: New Electric Toothbrushes from Oral-B (plus giveaway)

I think the display is awesome. It not only helps you ensure you are brushing for two minutes (it can count up or down, whichever you prefer,) is also helps make sure you spend and equal amount of time in each quadrant of your mouth. See that little circle in the photo above? It's highlighting the top right quadrant. Every 30 seconds it changes quadrants to ensure a proper clean. If you want to go even further, the instruction booklet suggests brushing the inside of your teeth, then the tops and then the front. So if you look at the timer, every 10 seconds you switch. Like this:

move to next quadrant and repeat.

In addition to that, it shows what mode your are using, if you are pressing to hard or if it's time to change your brush head. The display also functions as a clock when not being used as a timer. It's easily wall or mirror mountable for ease of use.
Also included is a case for bringing your toothbrush with you (it fits the toothbrush and up to 2 heads)
I am having a blast using this toothbrush. It's almost FUN! It retails for $149.99

2009 Improvement Project: Week One Goal Setting

So for our first week of the 2009 Blog Improvement Project we are to reflect on the past year with our blog and make goals.

I've had this blog for a few years but have been struggling with what to do with it. I started out writing posts on things I read or heard about, my opinions on things as well as fun quizzes and memes but I quickly ran out of things to say. So for a while it lay dormant.

Now I'm trying to take on a different path, making this still a blog of opinions and news I want to share but also doing product/service reviews and bringing you product and service news.

My goals for 2009 for this blog:

• Visit and comment on other blogs similar to mine.
• Come up with a blog design I like and stick with it.
• Try to post more regularily, 2-3 times a week at least.

REVIEW: Cleaning Products from Proctor & Gamble

Introducing Mr. Clean Disinfecting wipes with Febreze freshness. These wipes kill bacteria and leave a fresh scent. The scent I tried was Meadows and Rain and I thought it smelled great. The other scent available is Lavender, Vanilla and Comfort.

The wipes are in an upright container. The idea is you flip open the top and pull on the wipes. One comes off and the rest stay there ready for next time. I had a little trouble though. I found the second wipe came up too far, making it hard to close the lid and once when I opened the lid, it brought the piece that allows you to take just one wipe at a time with it.

The container I have contains 25 premoistened wipes and retails at $2.99 - $3.99. They work on many hard surfaces like counter tops and glazed tiles. You can try them on bathroom and kitchen counter tops, appliances, sinks, toilets, tubs and more.

I'm sure you've heard of the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Now there is Mr. Clean Magic Erasers with Extra Power. It's 50% stronger for Heavy Duty Cleaning. So what makes it PLUS? Well besides cleaning tough, stuck on food it's also an antibacterial hand soap and will kill bacteria on your hands when used as a hand soap.

I found it created just the right amount of bubbles. Many dish washing soaps create bubbles that fizz away minutes later or they create so many you can't find your dishes. A little goes a long way with Dawn Plus. The container has a nice indent made for your hand when you grab the bottle so you are less likely to drop it when your hands are slippery with soap.
