I have a giveaway for you, but first some additional information you may find interesting!
As of July 26, you can download the Rio coloring app from Android Market and iTunes App Stores with two characters and one background available for coloring. When the blu-ray is released on Aug 2nd, an insert will have a code to unlock an additional 10 characters and 4 backgrounds in the app. So in total that's 12 characters and 5 backgrounds OR 60 unique coloring pages.
For my US readers:
For those in the LA or NYC areas, a hands-on demonstration of the app will be available at Santa Monica Place in LA and Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island at a KIOSK with iPads, approximately 40-49” off the ground, easily reachable by children, to try the app.
Also, Rio is celebrating National Friendship Day (July 30) with beach takeovers and ecards. Also, mall takeovers are happening in the following areas, including "Friendship Rio style” a 2 - 3 hour event with the Rio trailer played, children engaging making a friendship bracelet, create your own mask, fun Rio activity sheets, write a friendship letter, take the friendship pledge, and watch scenes from the DVD! If you go, let me know how it is!

I haven't done that yet, but now that I am reading more reviews from bloggers, I will probably start. Hubby and I actually considered prescreening Cars 2, but we decided that if it became inappropriate we would just leave. The boy did fine though!! :)
No, not yet maybe when they are a little older and start getting into PG movies,
leannemacg at gmail.com
No, I don't prescreen movies.
We try to prescreen most movies! tracietrump@yahoo.com
I do sometimes, depending on the movie, and which child it's for. I prescreen more for my teens, because you never know why a movie is rated a certain way, and I don't let my toddler watch much anyway, so it's rare that there is anything to prescreen at all.

We preview movies sometimes, especially if it is PG or higher. Our boys are getting older now, but even PG is having a lot more unappealing items in them.

Sometimes I will, but not always.

No we don't preview movies before the kids watch them, but we read about the movie and watch the trailer on Fandango
heartnsoulcooking[at]gmail[dot]com
yes , i usually check the ratings and read reviews and trailers often give you an idea of what to expect

now that my LO is a bit older (5), we do ... before it didn't matter because all he watched were baby shows... now, he prefers live action... it's sad he LOVES transformers, but we deemed 'dark of the moon' to scary :/
krystylwaechter@gmail.com
yes I do. I want to be sure my son is not watching inappropriate shows.
We usually watch them first and my husband checks a website that rates it for children
robinblankenship at gmail dot com
My boys are older (10 & 13) so I'm not as likely to prescreen as I used to be. Now that they are older, I usually use the rating system to determine whether they get to watch a movie or not, unless I've heard something about it.
Since our Son is now 17, I do not screen his viewing.
When he was younger, I would not watch the movie first, but I did pay close attention to the rating and would look online for comments about the movie.
Thankfully, he was never much in to TV or Movies, much prefering to be outside, playing sports, doing crafts or reading.
Now, I do not think his TV is ever on for more thank an hour a day.
Thanks for the giveaway. ~Pauline

We do not prescreen, we believe our kids , while we need to protect them, also are going to be their own people and will decide what is right for themselves.

Yes, I do prescreen, unless it is a G rated movie. While most PG are okay, these days they slip things in that I'm not sure about, so I will try to prescreen those unless I've heard from a trusted friend or family member that it's ok.
jwitt33 at live dot com

Yes I pre screen the movies because I don't want any surprises for my little one like scary scenes
no,I dont prescreen movies, but we usually watch them together.
ksceviour at hotmail dot com
No I don't pre screen movies but I ask my son if a movie is okay for my grandson to watch.
janetfaye (at) gmail (dot) com
I usually do not but then my kids don't get to watch many movies. They usually are rated G.
mframe00@gmail.com

Thanks!

I Love Making Tutus
No they are to old but the ratings are usually good enough.
calvert0 at telus dot net
I usually read various reviews before I decide if a movie is appropriate for the kids and sometimes I do prescreen them. It used to be easier as you could once be assured if it was made by a certain label, then you knew it would be family friendly, but that is no longer the case, especially in movies geared towards “Tweens”. I suppose that a parent pretty much has to screen the content of just about anything in this country anymore to make sure the content matches your values and what you want your children to learn from it.
lyndaclark(at)yahoo(dot)com
We never used to screen them when they were really young, assuming things would be OK, but as soon as they were into Disney age and up, we started - having learned our lesson from Snow White and also the old Care Bears - wow, how the languease and plots have changed (for the better).
abrennan09@hotmail.com
I don't have kids.
freehugs4me(at)yahoo(dot)com
No, we are pretty free with what our kids watch!
No I don't prescreen. We let them watch a lot of stuff that other parents might not let their own kids watch. We know what our kids can and can't handle :)
claudecampeau at videotron dot ca
Thanks for the chance to win!
Sometimes I do but generally I go by the ratings,
I haven't yet for my niece, we usually go by the ratings
danielleaknapp at gmail dot com
I do depending on the movie based on reviews of other moms.
ykatrina at hotmail dot com
I ask friends and family if no one has watched it then I do - also it has depended on the age.
sps1113 at yahoo dot com
no i dont prescreen, my teenagers r fine to watch whatever but for my youngest she only watches g or pg depending if the big kids have seen it already and can tell me what they think
reneetaylor at sympatico dot ca
Only if the rating is R or NR
Not if it's a G or PG rated
No i have not pre screened my daughters movies yet..
thanks
flower_child_23(at)hotmail(dot)com
I absolutely will prescreen when my little person gets older. She's 14 months now and doesn't watch anything - no tv.
Not usually, we watch our movies together and if something is inappropriate, I take it off!
bec.shockley@gmail.com
No,I do not prescreen movies for my kids.
Shanna at mom caboodle dot com
Nope never.
spec@live.ca
I only pre-screen if I feel iffy about a movie. With Rio I didn't pre-screen but I did check some family friendly reviews.
No - I wish i did. I should have learned my lesson by now, but sometimes there just isn't time!
